OK, busy days… Working on a few Dora spreads for LeapFrog. These are just converting existing art to vector, but I am also finishing up the Ni Hao, Kai-lan book that I started some time ago for Random House and …. doing a small 8 page environmental workbook for Learning Horizons with some characters i’m developing …. Green Girl and Biome Boy ….

Oh, and I’ll be doing more comic strips for the Patent Beast and colorizing previously done strips in my spare time. I’ll try and get some Green Girl/Biome Boy samples up soon. They’re kinda cute.

something cool happened yesterday…. I got to meet one of the art directors from Learning Horizons that I get work from. I’ve been working with Jodi for a few years now, but had never personally met her. She was on the way through LA on vacation and we had some lunch together. Jodi is on the left and her friend Sara is in the middle. This is the only pic I have that came out decent, but Sara took one with Jodi’s camera and I’m going to see if she’ll send that along too when she is back from the Islands.

This is a new idea I had that I liked better than the first… they are just rough sketches with a little color thrown behind to show what I’m thinking…. i’m already refining this in my mind… I should do a finish just to do it, even if it doesn’t get accepted.

i’m doing a cover for Learning Horizons right now… this isn’t the cover but I’m using this little superhero creature on the cover..
