back from vacation

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

Just spent the week down in Dana Point with my wife. We did some shopping, we ate where we wanted, we went to art galleries in Laguna…. and we looked out over a balcony at the Pacific Ocean just like the picture below right after sunset.

All in all, not a bad time. But it’s good to be back as well. I’ll be working on some more patent beast stuff as well as a new hero project for Learning Horizons. Updates coming.

Finished up the presentation stuff on wednesday morning and am back on the NHKL tight pencils. But rather than actually pencil them, i’m just doing them in illustrator. Here is an example of Kai-lan spinning around for one of the pages.

Presentation Storyboards

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

For the last few days, I’ve been working on some full color storyboards for a business presentation by one of my clients. He had wanted to move away from the standard PowerPoint graphs and pie charts and red and blue that are always utilized for business presentations and do something really creative. So I went in to the office, met with him and his team and we came up with some working ideas as to how we could present the ideas in a story form and visually communicate this. This is something new for me, but I like the project. It is really getting back to stories, as opposed to just decorative spot images….

Here are two of the storyboards in thier earlier versions. The actual storyboards have been modified somewhat from these.
