Illustration- PowerPuff Girls

The Powerpuff Girls series was my first independent publishing contract. In 1999, Little Golden Books contacted me to create a sample for a new property they were developing, and my sample was selected.

It remains one of my favorite licensed properties to have worked on. I loved the visual style and found that it came very naturally to me. Over the next three years, I illustrated 15 Powerpuff Girls books for Little Golden Books.

The work eventually came to an end after Little Golden Books was acquired by Random House and the license was not continued, but it remains one of the projects I most enjoyed during my years in children’s publishing.
